During World War 2 <em>Dr Seuss<\/em> worked under <em>(Colonel) Frank Capra<\/em> making instructional &amp; propagandistic animated &amp; live-action shorts! Although his work\u2019s been adapted often since, <em>5000 Fingers<\/em> was the last Hollywood project Suess had a personal hand in, which he described of as the worst experience of his life! It\u2019s achieved cult status over the years but <em>Fingers<\/em> was a flop when it first came out &amp; during filming apparently one of the boys threw up on the giant prop piano causing a domino effect! Suess said the film&#8217;s reviews were similar! The heading for this Motion Picture Purgatory which originally appeared in a 2006 issue of The Montreal Mirror was \u201cCaligari for Kids!\u201d As always; the original art\u2019s for sale @ 100 bucks.
